A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR BRIEF HISTORY

The band began in January of 2002 as the brainchild of
entrepreneur and general Bon Vivant Steve
Watson to celebrate Elvis' birthday at Steve's bar the
Kingpin. Due to relentless promotion from
Steve and his partner Ben Sherman, the night was an
overwhelming success. Costume contests
with a trip to Graceland as the grand prize attracted
first rate contestants. The night was so successful
that it became a regular event in January and August
to celebrate Elvis' birthday and honor his death
respectively. As word spread and we returned for
subsequent celebrations we began receiving offers
to play at other clubs, parties and special occasions.
Venturing out to Carrollton Station, Bruno's, La
Louisianne, The Hard Rock Cafe',
Mid City Lanes Rock N Bowl and a Christmas night 2003
show at the Circle Bar that proved to be my favorite
show to date. It was there that a newly betrothed
couple asked us to play at their wedding ceremony in
Kona, Hawaii. Elvis in Hawaii. Nuff said. As the line
up continues to change, so does the
sound. Each musician brings their own cadence to the
band but we all speak the same language when it
comes to the King. We are not impersonators. We are
not a tribute band. We are an appreciation of the songs
in their rawest form. This is house rockin Elvis,
Barnstorming Elvis, and as these songs basically play
themselves; Clockwork Elvis.

My complete musical history is too torrid to speak of
here. I will say that I taught myself to sing
by singing along to Elvis records from the age of
three(3) I can't remember a Halloween when Mom didn't
paint some sideburns on me, sew some glittery things
on a white suit, and I filled my aunt's old Silvertone
with candy thru the sound hole. In 1989 I began
getting gigs singing Elvis songs in the Delaware area
and eventually started a band around the idea called
"Los Hombres Mas Macho Del Mundo Rock" Once again this
was an on again off again, revolving membership
endeavor. This lasted until I moved to New Orleans in
1998 and the rest is described above. As it stands
today, being able to sing these songs to appreciative
audiences has been one of the most fulfilling musical
experiences of my life. So a big thank you to anyone
who has listened, sung along, danced, or thrown their
fists in the air when they heard their favorite Elvis
song. It means more to me than I probably let on.

Thank you for reading. DC
